Track Practise (not re-posted)

I got those "jokes" in an email send to me by my grandmother. Thank-you grandma. Anyway do any of you get the France flooring one???? I don't, I even asked my dad. At track practise today my father made my "team" sing you are my sunshine. Ya. I don't even know the words to you are my sunshine. Then Pat nominated me to lead the song, but jenny said that she would do it. Thank-you Jenny. Any way, they had set up a 4x100 relay for the sprinters and who ever wasn't running had to cheer on either Mr. Matheios' (i have NO idea how to spell your name) team or on Mr. Steele's (my dad)team. I had to cheer for Mr. Matheous' (?) team and dad's team won. So his team decided that the loosing team would have to stand in the second running row and sing you are my sunshine. So I spend almost 2 hours of track practise running, chucking a lead ball (shot put) and singing. It was so much fun!!!!!! (if you were here writing with me would have heard how sarcastic that was supposed to have been). I'll talk to you guys later when my arm dosn't hut so much. MBut I did get a ride home from practise today!!!!! Some-what Happy Day!!!!!!!!!

Track Practise

I think that is how you spell practise? No? Anyway, today after school I had track practise. I do javelin, discus and shot put. After running one lap around the track, and being made fun of by the coach, I got a javelin and started chucking it. Is that the right term? No? I threw that spear like shit today. Usually I am better than that. Anyway, Did that for a bit and then went and got a discus. I am better at throwing that because I have a good wind-up. Chucked that for a bit. Coach got there late today so practise started at 3:45 and ended at 5:00. I got up early today and am pretty tired. Tonight I have to finish the rough draft for my essay on knighthood and becoming a knight. Men back then treated women like shit, and life for us chickens wasn't all that pretty. I'll post again later when I get my life back and under control.

wow

it took me 32 minutes to write that last post

NID days and awakening mummies

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm at home because I'm not at school!!! That's right, it's a NID day. That is great and makes me happy. And to top it all off, I'm watching the Food Network, but I'm going to turn it off because I don't like Throwdown with Bobby Flay. Just the name is weird. So my socials teacher, Ms. B, who I must say is one of the best teachers I have ever had, assigned us with an essay on knighthood. There we go, I put on some good music. Anyway we have to do this essay. The other socials/English teacher at SJSS, Ms. S, her class is doing knighthood too and she took ALL of the knighthood books out of the library, all but one. This one book that she left in the library is the only knighthood book probably in existence that only talks about how the knights didn't usually follow the code of chivalry and how basically all they did was fight. YA, I got this book out anyway and am reading it. I just about tore my eyes out of their sockets yesterday because I thought to myself, [1] you are reading a book on knighthood, which, doesn't exist anymore, [2] it is the most boring book you have ever read, even worse than the giver or war and peace, [3] don't i have anything better to do?????

Well, I'm sooooo sorry that I am boring you with this. Anyway, I danced at festival the other day and we were pretty good. We god second because the seniors that did Annie's i think I'm gonna like it here got first. The dance the recruits was soooooooo funny. The took the song YMCA and twisted it, in the brownies, everyone is your friends, in the brownies Well you get the idea. It was SOO funny. one of them put white undies over their bodysuit under their costume and kept pulling her dress up. Then after us was the money, honey dance. they were all dressed in suit except for one girl who was wearing this suit jacket over a cardigan, that DIDN'T have a Cami underneath it. When she took off the vest she was practically falling our of the cardigan. To make things worse she was being watched by about 70 6 year olds and she was shaking all over the place. Then two nights I went and watched Jessica and Caitlin do their solo's, Caitlin for interpretive ballet, and Jessica for en pointe, they were SOOOOOOO beautiful, Jessica had this really nice tutu with silver beading and Caitlin had a really nice cream coloured dress. Then last night My mom and Jill and i went and watched the modern, acro and street jazz which was the last night for the dance section of the festival. Jessica did an acro solo to the awakening mummy and she was SOOSOOOOOSOOOOOOO good. most of her flips were no-handed and she was the only one in her class. Then she did and acro duo with Brenna who was good, but I didn't like the costume on her. And Rebecka was supposed to do a street jazz duo but she wasn't there. Then we went and god Slurpee's and Jill came over and we watched lemony snicket's a series of unfortunate events, she ended up going home at like 20 to 11. Then i went to bed and read, haha that rhymes, then i went to sleep and here i am. drinking cold rooibos and eating those wheat thin crackers that are really good.

If you have stuck around long enough to read this post, you deserve a hug, or at least a huge cyber hug. I am sending one right now. did you get that??????

I will go and have a shower and then dry my hair and then walk my dog and then do laundry and ten work on my essay and then go and get my bass clarinet and then i will go to band tonight and then we will play and we will suck and then we will go to the workshop and then i will come home and then i will walk my dog again and then i will spend the rest of the evening complaining because my dad is watching the hunting channel and i don't agree with the showcasing of hunting on TV. That post will wait until a later time. I just used the word "and" 15 times, i counted ya that is sad. bye bye

Vegetarian Pizza and Cold Gun Girls

Yesterday, Kennix came over and we made vegetarian whole-wheat pizza. It was REALLY good. It had zucchini, red pepper, green pepper, orange pepper, onion, garlic, cheese (of course), spinach, and mushrooms. I am eating a left-over piece of it for breakfast. Metric's new album Fantasies came out a while ago and I have been listening to it. Right now I am listening to Cold Gun Girls, oops the song just ended. Twilight Galaxy is good too. Anyway, people of Earth and of "Anime Land" go out a buy Fantasies if you already haven't. Earthlings, I think that you will really enjoy it, and "people" of Anime Land I just want you to buy it because [1] it supports Metric, [2] you might like it and then use your like of it to get permission to come back to Earth and [3] I want to get you out of that umm... "music" that you listen to. If you want to listen to some of Metric's music go to http://www.ilovemetric.com/ for some awesome music.

Hello People of Earth and Anime (no they are not the same thing)

Hey there people,

I am here with Akina-Hana and we are at my house. AND we are eating the BEST Popsicles on the earth and in Anime Land. Anime Land is located 5,000,000,000,000,000,000 light year's away from Earth; and for a good reason. Anyway they are the Safeway Frozen Fruit Juice Pops and they are REALLY good.

There is no such thing as "Anime Land", Laura just wants to make herself feel better! and the reason why it's so far away is because we only deal with OUR OWN incompetence, not others!!!

You do know that incompetence means inability, don't you???? I don't think that Earthling's are incompetent.

Laura: I don't like Anime.
Aki-chan: Too bad, I don't like Metric! HA!
Laura: Metric is WAY better than "Berry Peoplez"
Aki-chan: Berryz KOUBOU are better than Metric as a whole. They look and sound better, AND have a better name! LEARN TO PRONOUNCE IT!
Laura: I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE PRONUNCIATION!!! Deal with it. Metric is Canadian and Emily Haines is freaking awesome. I don't really like "K-Pop"
Aki-chan: So you don't care if I call Metric "MEETREEEKS", or "Meat Freaks"? SO? Berryz Koubou's JAPANESE, and MOMO is in there. And it's "J-POP"! NOT FRIGGEN K-POP! DBSK is K-pop! GEEEZ.
Laura: J-Pop, K-Pop same thing. They both sound the same and have weird hair. Metric sings about real things.
Aki-chan: They have AWESOME hair! Plus, they sing about real things, too, but you're just too "UGH" to understand! AND BESIDES: I before E, except after C! Unless you're talking about a weird word like weird. Weird.
Laura: So that's it then. We've agreed to disagree. They are both equally awesome. (Metric is still so much better)

A note to parents: some of the words in this conversation have been censored for you child's "little" ears.

Dance Dance

So, last night was the Spring Fling at SJSS. It was a lot of  fun and really loud. AKINA-HANA WASN'T EVEN THERE. No. There. Is. NOT. A. Good. Reason. For. Her. LACK OF ATTENDANCE. Although she says that there is and that she is stalking me. Although I am really stalking HER. I'm sad right now because she is making fun of my BAD spelling. And I am doing it totally not on purpose, by accident. Spell Check is my friend. I got side tracked. All I really wanted to say was that the dance was good and I had a lot of fun.

Akina-Hana's "Song of the Post."

My friend "Akina-Hana" has the blog the-anime-academy.blogspot.com and every blog-post she has a "Song of the Post". Akina-Hana, can I just say that you need to pick some English songs not like Berry-peoplez songs. You probably don't know who the "Berry-Peoplez are. You had to bee there when I couldn't pronounce their real name and made one up. Any one you need some "Shady Bard", or "Emily Haines and the Soft Skeletons". I'm not asking you to do any "Lady Gaga" because her song "Love Game" is just BAD and the music video is WORSE. Just keep in mind what I am telling you even thought you probably won't listen to me.

My Google Meme!!!!

These are my Google Memes and I swear to God that I didn't make any of them up myself. They are ALL from google. Some of them are a little bit disturbing, like the Micheal J Fox one and the George one. Do your Google Meme and then post it in the comments. Enjoy!!!

I feel like Willie Wonka

OK, so much time and so little to post about. Wait. Stop that. Reverse it. God, I feel like Willie Wonka, you know in the first movie where he is a little......well he looks drunk. Anyway, I got home today about an hour ago and I have sooooo much to talk about. This morning I had to get up at the ungodly hour of 7am to get ready to come home. I was soooooo tired. We took a float plane from the island over to the main-land. The take-off from the sea-plane base was SOOO bumpy that the captain apologized about it when we landed. When we got the the airport and through security i wanted to buy a magazine. I wanted the April edition of NYLON. I know that April is almost over but they didn't have the may edition. The first place that i went to didn't even have NYLON so i was kinda disappointed but then i went somewhere else and the had it so i bought it. I am almost finished and it is really good. When we got home i unpacked and then made tea. By the way, HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY NYLON!!!!!!!! www.nylonmag.com And now i must leave you to stare at the April cover (and yes Lindsay is wearing a shirt).

I know that it is the day after Easter Sunday but it is still Easter Monday so it still counts. This year easter was great, got some chocolate and my mom bought me a new flat iron for my hair. Didn't get to see Carli because she is sick so I am very sad. Write again soon.

Dissapointment

I'm am very sad and right now I hate life. Carli was supposed to come over tonight for a sleep over and now she is at home throwing up. Last time I was on the island i didn't get to see her either and now I don't get to see her at all. I hate life. Yesterday we went to Courtney to see her in a production of Oklahoma and I got to see her for all of two minutes after the show and then we had to leave. Life sucks. I miss you soooooo much Carli and i haven't seen you since October.

April 11

Today is the 101st day of the year AND Ian Bell's birthday. On a sadder note there are 264 days until the end of the year and on this day in 1554 Thomas Wyatt the younger died. For those of you that don't know who Thomas Wyatt the younger was, (I didn't know either until about 30 seconds ago) he was an English rebel. Ya. Today is also Juan Santamaria Day, which marks the anniversary of his death in the SECOND (ya, I know right) Battle of Rivas, and is a state holiday in Costa Rica. Why was there a second Battle of Rivas, didn't they do a good enough job of killing people in the first battle? Or maybe they really wanted to call they're battle that but the name was already taken? I guess we will never know.

Bunny Love

So, now i am in Nanaimo. Yesterday my mom and i flew to vancouver and our family picked us up at the airport. From there we went to visit my great grandmother in the home where she is living. I hate to say that she is not that good. Well, she IS really old. 97. Anyway, just as we were entering the complex, out in the parking lot i saw a bunny rabbit. Well, there were actully two rabbits and they were well....... When my family came around and spooked them the bigger bunny got scared and went under a car and then the smaller one followed suit. I hope they're happy together. After visiting nan, we went and caught the ferry over to the island and them drove for like an hour to get to my grandparents house. Having funy but very tired because i went to bet at 12:13 last night and got up at 7:37. Post again soon. Happy Easter!!!

Scarily Random

I was just thinking. Do you know what I was thinking about??? Absolutely NOTHING. But then I started to think about rainbows and then I thought, God, I love rainbows. And that was it. Sorry I am REALLY bored and listening to Emily Haines & The Soft Skeletons, Dr. Blind......If the dizzying highs don't subside over night, Dr. Blind just prescribe the red one. Again, bored.

Metric

Metric's new album Fantasies came out the other day and it is REALLY good. Metric is a Canadian band, which is awesome, because you know Canadian people ROCK!!!!!! Yes, as you can tell I AM CANADIAN. Screw the people that have a problem with that. Being the world's second largest country has some advantages. I have no idea what they are but I know that they are there. Anyway, the new album is really good. Metric hasn't released a full album in quite a long time. They have had singles releases for Front Row and Help, I'm Alive, but this is their first full album release in a long time and it is REALLY good. You should go out and buy a copy, or if you are just that lazy, buy the digital version on iTunes. GO BUY IT!!!

Capitalization

i just Read John Green's Paper Towns. it was a really Good book but in part Of it one of the characters Starts talking about capitalization and it got Me really thinking about the Rules of punctuation. No. i Am not talking about Political capitalization. i am Talking about punctuational capitilization. it Is so unfair to the words in the middle of the sentence if Only the word at the beginning of the Sentence gets a Capital letter. so That is why i wrote this blog, Not following the rules Of capitalization. i Just put capital letters On some of the words in the Middle of the sentences. very Boring first post for this blog. why do I have to suck at blogging???? I used to be so good at it, But then, i don't know i stopped Blogging and haven't done Any since. hopefully It will get better. oh And by the way, Please add your opinion to The polls, i really Appreciate it!!!!
